We asked the Bride to share her most memorable moment with us, Here’s what she had to say —
“The entire day from start to finish was absolutely perfect. I loved the entire vibe of the morning while I was getting ready with my best friends. There was a calm early in the morning when my dad made me practice dancing with him on the deck, and as everyone started to show up the house came alive with a beautiful buzz. I mean, my BFF’s parents came early from North Bay to make my favourite breakfast, the playlist was perfect and nostalgic, and there was champagne – It couldn’t have been any better!
Brian and I both agree that the best part of the day for both of us was the moment when we first saw each other. For me, it was the anticipation of hiding upstairs in my parent’s house, in what used to be my childhood bedroom. I was SO excited!!! My stomach was flip-flopping the entire time I was waiting.
The other really special thing about the day for both of us was being able to have everyone we love together in one space. It can be challenging to pull together our extended military family because everyone is all over the place now, and being able to welcome our Petawawa family in Sudbury was really special. I remember feeling so excited when I first saw all of our friends and family sitting for the ceremony – It is humbling to know that everyone came to celebrate our love.
Walking in from the patio and seeing my 94-year-old Granny and 91-year-old Grandpa dancing during the cocktail hour was perfectly adorable. Having them there was really special for me. They set such a beautiful example of partnership and love.
And let’s not forget about that heat! Soooo hot. What. A. Day!!! ”
